CUSTOM HAND PAINTED PET PORTRAITS

FROM PHOTOS

My name is Nancy Kuker. I am an artist living in Amarillo, Texas. My passion is animals. I love to paint our furry friends and family. I strive to show their spirits in the eyes. I paint realistic and detailed. These portraits make great gifts and wonderful keepsakes.

The two in the photo above are my precious pups Gideon and Teddy, both rescues.

*HOW TO GET A GOOD PHOTO

   FOR YOUR PET PORTRAIT.
  • Use natural light. Avoid a flash.

  • Take the photo from eye level of your special pet.

  • Eyes are the window to the soul. Make sure they are sharp and in focus.

  • Try to get the photograph so it shows the personality of your pet.

  • Go Macro (with a closeup) of your pet's face and fur. They make beautiful pet portraits.

  • It can take patience. Don't give up, take your time and take lots of photos while your pet is cooperating.
